It was wonderful to arrive in the pretty town of Poros with the small white houses with red roofs climbing high up the hillside from the water's edge.

Antares sat stern-to outside the cafes and shops with Margarita alongside. What a warm welcome I got from them and their crew. On our first night we meandered along the boardwalk unil we found their favourite restaurant - more hugs and kisses from the owners and then the focus was on saganaki, greek salad, sardines and greek lamb and a carafe of the local wine.
A good night's sleep before a round of social coffees with neighbouring yachts and some serious shopping and provisioning.

We got back to the yacht to find our anchor had dragged when leaving so we had to make a quick dash aboard and leave harbour in rather an untidy manner. We anchored across in a quiet bay and enjoyed a leisurely BBQ aboard and watched a magnificent sunset bathe the town in gold.

Yesterday morning we lifted anchor at 6.30am and motored all the way on a glassy sea without another boat in sight until we reached the NE town of Koros on the Peloponese. We are anchored again in a quiet little spot and enjoyed another Greek Meze for lunch then spent the afternoon swimming, sunning, reading and dozing. I feel completing healed.

An early night and early rise this morning. Just having my usual breakfast of olives, cheese and tomatoes with the local bread - found some good organic coffee - then we will lift anchor and head up and through the Corinth Canal.

We need to get through today - as you know Tony won;t leave on a Friday and there are surcharges on a weekend and evenings.

We're missing the princesses but imaging all the things we could be doing if they were with us.
We will rendevouz with Margarita tonight - they are dropping their crew off. A couplde days exploring on the otherside of the canal and then we'll head into the Ionian.

Had a phone call from Con & Cheryle - they are already in Patmos - disappointed we are not going around the Peloponese - the weather hasn;t been good down that way. We will meet them in the Ionian.

Love to all
